I've been looking for a perfect pair of black stilletos for ages and just when I was giving up hope for something  a bit different, I found this pair from Hobbs Unlimited. Not going to lie, Hobbs isn't exactly shop I normally swing by but after seeing this pair on their website, I did swing by and also fell in love with an amazing black dress and seriously killer over the knee boots...I'll be definetely stopping by again soon. Only shows that sometimes things we look for are in the most unexpected places.

That 70's shoes

I'm so loving the whole 70's revival, the bow tie blouses, floppy hats (yet to purchase one...already on save on ASOS ;), flared jeans and most of all - the platform shoes! So Charlie's Angels...
Majorly gutted I have not listened to my mum back in the day and donated whole of her passed down hippy flower-power wardrobe to charity shop.
Oh well.
Lessons learnt -always listen to you parents and don't ever throw anything away, otherwise Starsky and Hutch police will be on their way...or even worst, Kojak will come and get you...or shave you.

MbMJ

I didn't actually forget about these Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes (shockingly!) I bought back in July in NYC.
But sometimes it's nice to hold off these nice little things, until you wake up and the first thing on your mind is just that thing...and then it just makes your day just this little bit special.
...OK b*llocks, I completely forgot I had them until I was looking for another pair of shoes and had to move the MbMJ box to find them.
Oooops :/

Furry X-mas

One thing I like about Autumn is that occasionally you get a nice warm day, when you can still wear your summer shorts but also can get some boots out and a nice furry gilet, throw it all together and not look like a freak.
Shame that day in UK is like Christmas, happens only once a year.

Bavaria ... or you snooze, you loose

Everyone has their daily morning routines, I've got two.
First one is pre-work - wake up, spend few minutes figuring out what day it is, swearing after realising it's still a weekday, go for a run, shower, brekkie, hit public transport.
Second one : upon arrival at work -switch on PC and first check of the day is Topshop website "new arrivals" (dear Employer, I would like to reassure you that Inbox gets checked straight after...ASOS, Whistles, US Weekly...). Anyways, I've had my eye on this shaggy number from Topshop's Bavaria range ever since i saw AW look book back in the non existing summer and this morning, there it was, down to the last couple slightly too big sizes but better get it then regret it (another one of my shopping motto's).
One thing I have been dwelling on though is the fact that I have been to Bavaria and must say, haven't seen many that stylish Bavarians out there...
Good beer though.

AW11...Almost Winter '11

The time has come to get the first of my AW pieces out.
I finally gave in and admitted my defeat to the weather...had to dig in into the depths of my wardrobe and get some nice, new, shiny piece out, even just to cheer myself up a bit.
And since it was a rather wet affair today, it had to be a debut of my Topshop ankle boots.
Perfect for a Sunday walk by the river.
All they need is a built in radiator and an option of going from "ankle" to "over the knee", it's bloody freezing outside!

Yes, the weather still sucks in UK, so the only way to show off my OTHER Cali purchase is to post some more sunny photos.
Seriously, these days when shopping abroad, my first Q&A to myself isn't "do I really need it?" but "how many days of the year I can actually wear it for???"
Obviously accessories are excluded from the above dilemma (that includes shoes), hence no second thought was speared the minute I saw "the fringy" in Wasteland on Melrose Ave (www.wastelandclothing.com).
...shame Coachella isn't happening any time soon...in Surrey :(

Shangri - La

Yes, back to The Reality.
And it's a grey, freezing and depressing one.
It's so not pretty in UK at the moment that I'm only left with posting my holiday pics and reminiscence about the things called Sun, Summer, Clear Blue Sky...things that are slowly becoming forgotten "spices" here.
...ok this obviously wasn't taken in the sun but in beautiful art deco Shangri - La in Santa Monica.
I found this dress earlier in the day in Planet Blue and just had to have it to complement the surroundings on the final night.

P.S. Oh and that's obviously my beautiful classic Chanel i got in Vegas...well my lovely husband presented me with It.
BTW...what's with all the teenage girls in US owing one like it's just casual Top Shop number?!!!
Thought US economy was in a dumpster!!!

I've only bought 1 pair of shoes, which is appalling comparing to 12 pairs I brought back to UK last year.

That obviously meant that I had to pack last night.
I HATE packing - making the list, deciding on all the outfits, scrapping all decided outfits half way through the packing, adding stuff I will blatantly never wear and carrying it all downstairs.
Seriously considering posting an ad on Gumtree for "luggage packer and unpacker"...or even a "packing app" would do -THERE IS A MARKET FOR IT!

So the streets of London are in chaos.

After watching Ten O'clock News last night and warnings of more riots, I decided that drastic matters call for drastic measures...next day office smart outfit had to be scrapped in favor of heavy self defence gear-studs.

Spiky shorts, heavy footwear and knuckle duster...OK maybe not the knuckle duster, didn't want The Met to take interest in me and confiscate my jewellery.
8 days until California.
...speaking of which...dear rioters, riders, looters, proud asobo owners, please under any circumstances decide to target Heathrow airport next week, I really need to take that BA plane to the summer and some US retail therapy.
